Cheap..but effective..??
Well.....
For ~$6k installed you can get a blower.
Now I know, I know, you're sitting there thinking "$6k is NOT cheap!" Look at it this way:
A stock GT is 300 at the flywheel. I am now ~511 at the flywheel. So that's a 211 horsepower gain for $6k, making the $/hp at $28.44/horsepower
Compared to a lot of other mods out there (UDPs, LT headers ($2k installed (kooks w/X)for ~25 HP)), that's actually a very good deal.
Trouble is coming up with it all in one chunk like that. But trust me, when you do, you'll be very happy.

Nitrous is the poor man's supercharger and its also very effective, its just you gotta have nitrous in tank, so its not there all the time...I think some of the centrifigul blowers are probably the best bang for the buck...I've seen where you can get the vortech blower, the paxton and the procharger for well under $5k dollars, but then you have to get them installed...
Nitrous is a cheap way to go for added power. You can get started with a basic kit for anywhere from $600.00 to $1,000.00 installed. There are always additionl items you will want (Gauges, bottle heater, purge, etc.), but you can get started relatively cheap for the HP you'll gain.
