if you can match your engine revs with your tranny revs its not too bad for the tranny.
I've heard it that doing this is a good way to prematurely destroy your synchros.
yes, if your not matching your revs. basically its not practical at all. once in 1st big-rigs never touch the clutch.

sounds a bit crazy to me - i mean, sh*t, there's plenty of things i COULD do, but don't cuz they're not worth it. i COULD punch chuck norris in the face, but i never WOULD cuz he'd roundhouse kick me so hard i'd prolly go back in time. moral: use your clutch - it's there for a reason

I would just not make a habbit of it, lol.

I had my master slave for the clutch go out on a Celica I had along time ago.
Basically I had zero clutch pedal. This was in the day when you could start a car in gear without the clutch depressed. I drove 10 miles to work/shop with no clutch. No biggie, shifts were actually smooth. It was getting caught at a red light that sucked. I had to look like an idiot starting my car in gear, lol. It was the only way to stop. Nuetral, shut car off, put in gear, wait for the light to turn green, start car, gogogo

Thanks for the info- I was worried something was wrong. I only have 6000 miles on the car.

I never once said I recommend shifting clutchless. I have done it on occasion and it was smooth as silk. I was just throwing it out there as a bit of trivia and to see how some would take the bait.

Oh come on now! Lighten up. It would be kind of boring around here if we all said to use Amsoil, get a CAI and tune, fix the frozen parking brake, delete spoiler, shoot posers, hang auto owners, etc etc etc. Someone's got to liven up the world.
