Default Intercooler or Driveshaft!!!

Riddle me this. Which one of these would give me more performance. They are about the same price when installed. Ok here is the deal, I have a vortech H/O system that comes with a little tiny intercooler that sits behind my bumper. Now I have the choice of getting a bigger intercooler which I am guessin will be more efficient and possible add a lil more wieght. OR!!! I can get an aluminum drive shaft that will save me weight. I don't know which I should do.

Intercooler=colder intake temps=dense air=more power

Driveshaft=lightweight=less rotational mass=frees up power

Help me out here guys what would you do!!!????

I'd get an intercooler. You save about 20-25 pounds if you get a driveshaft and performance gains are about 2-3 percent. With a bigger intercooler you gain probably less than 10 pounds, but get a lot more power.

Mamba, is that a v6? If so, get rid of the stock driveshaft that gives up the ghost at what; 115mph?

For you I would get an intercooler but w/o FI, I would go with a Driveshaft!

The intercooler will give you sooo much more reliable power.
I had an issue with my intercooler last year and had to run it dry for a week. OMG ! When the car got warm the OBC just kept winding the spark further and further backward as the charge temps rose in traffic. At one pont I hardly had any useable FI at all [&:]

FI without intercooling is about as much use as a Chocolate Fire guard !

To me, stuff like driveshafts are things you do after you have everything alse major sorted. It's part of the icing on the cake. Get the Blower unning efficiently first.

I do have an intercooler it is just really small, so I do have more dense air goin to it. So a bigger one would show that much of a difference?

Well, it's going to be impossible to know that sitting behind a desk hundreds of miles away. You already said that the intercooler you currently have is tiny, we only have your words to go from here.

Yeah I understand. I just don't want people to think I have no intercooler.
