They probably tried to double up the 3m tape...to make it "hold" better...The body shop I took mine to tried to do it...Lets just say I went to a different body shop for the other parts

That's why I was wondering if anyone had done it. I have seen bondo'd things before start to crack at the seams and stuff. Mostly it's on the nice fast 'n furious civics. But that would be more devastating than the tape coming undone, seeing how one bondo crack is new paint!!!

Simplex, yes your right they doubled up the tape and it seems like the 3m is back from the edges too far. One thing i did have them do, which they did a decent job at, i had them cut a small slit in the scoops to make them flow through. It looks pretty good. IMHO

Just pull them off and buy some new tape from a parts store to redo them....Like I always say no one is going to pay more attention to doing a good job on ur car than yourself...And I almost did the same thing with the slit but I decided not to since Ithought it wouldcreate a drag underneath and pull them off...

do not try to bondo them in...they will crack no mater what because they are two different materials and they expand and contract differently.

Glad I am reading this post...got a set of Cervinis scoops in the paint bay at a local shop now, and all this info helps. Guess I'll be working in my garage with a hair dryer to warm up my scoops first before installing!
