Default Ticking noise...

When I start my car in the morning after it's been sitting for a few days and the weather is in the 20-30s F, my car makes a ticking noise from the left side (if your looking at the engine from the front of the car).

It will tick for like 3 or 4 minutes and then stop when the car is warmed up. I started noticing this after my UDP install. Any ideas??? Thanks!!

Might want to make sure it's not a bomb. You're not in the mob or anything right?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Probably injectors as stated above. Some belts will click against the pulleys when cold until they warm up.

Same here - different noise than the injectors, which is more rapid. Only does it when cold - gone in no more than 10 minutes. It's normal for this engine - it's not known to be the quietest engine out there.

Could be valvetrain noise. Your lifters have bleed down overnight, and with the cold temps, they wont immediately pump back up till the oil temps begin to rise.
