Brake rotors revisited again!
Is there any good quality 2 piece rotors in the stock size front and rear?
I have read through most of the threads about different rotors and big brake kits. I am of the philosophy that going with a larger brake rotor and caliper would not yield significant shorter stopping distance and decrease in brake fade vs staying with the stock brake size with these mods; SS lines, better fluid, brake cooling ducts, hawk HPS or HP+ pads.
Instead of going with bigger is always better and increasing rotational mass as well as putting more mass farther away from the hub, what are my options?
I know the stock front rotors are nearly 21lbs each, I weighed them when I got a set from newtakeoffs.com
I don't care if the rotors are drilled or slotted as I feel those are 'gimicks' in this day and age of brake technology. I admit they look good though.
So are their any two piece stock sized rotors out there? And what are the weight savings?
Any links or names of companies that sell rotors for the S197?
Thanks,
UrS4
