Thanks for the info.. I was not sure of the difference.. The though I have is that if I'm planning on an SC do I really need to get these sicne the predator and intake will be in the kit =-/ ... I hate waiting that long.. but thats 1/4 of the SC right there.... damn..
If you are getting an SC you should wait. The SC normaly comes with evrything from the TB to the air filter. I am looking hard at getting the Ken Bell SC. It makes over 450 hp. I saw a 97 Cobra at the track with this set up and he was putting over 420 hp to the tires. The torque comes in right off idle unlike the paxton\vortec wich has to spool up a little. Again this is my opinion. I think the root style SC looks bad a@@ on the 05. Get the current issue of MM&FF. They have the Dyno results on the Ken Bell in an 05.

My only problem with the C&L setup is that every picture I have seen of it, it looks like they took the stock air box, chopped it up with a dremel, and now call it custom.

I think the C&L looks great, best looking one I've seen yet. The only similarity I can see between the stock air box and the C&L heat shield is that their both black plastic. BTW I saw you have a MMR CAI on your sig, do you have any pics? How was the install and how much difference did you notice?

Don't get me wrong...I have read GREAT reviews about the C&L. Not a bad word about it anywhere. And I am sure that the pictures don't do it any justice. I was just saying that in the marketing pictures I have seen, the airbox does not look like it should go on something that cost what the C&L costs. I meant no disrespect.

As for the MMR, I put it on but have not done the tune yet. Working with a local shop on the parameters of the tune. It made the engine louder if that counts for anything It seems to pull a bit harder, and I have a CEL. But once again, that is without a tune. I should have the tune within a week. I have a friend that works at a milling / machine shop that I am working with that is going to make a polished aluminum heatshield for the setup. Once that is in place I think I will be a little more satasified with the cosmetics of it.

This is what it looks like currently.
