Rattle! HELP
So I've discovered the culprit of those terrible rattles..
it is this thingy behind the door opener.. I took it in under warranty and the dealership says they have no way to secure it because it is not attached to anything..?
so since I can't dynamat 4" from inside the door panel to behind this little bugger do any of you have any ideas of how to fix this?
It slides left and right in the door (blue arrow directions)..

THANKS!

is this a common problem problem or am I just one of the "lucky" ones?
I notice it most when I have my radio/cd playing. when a song has a lot of bass it rattles most..
I might do that silicone glue.. I've just never been too handy with crafts..lol

I've never heard of the problem before yours. Be carefull with the silicon. It is hard to work with. Gets stringy if you pull apart an already glued item. Use as little as possible. Clean up with mineral spirts.
hold the door handle open, take a flat head screw driver and pry off that piece. put some double sided tape/dynamat/etc on the back of the piece. it pops back into the place. it wont ever move or rattle again
you wont snap it.. i scratched the piece a bit because i was clumbsy with the screw driver. maybe wrap a piece of double sided tape on the screw driver head when you pry it off. the scratches on it are worth the rattle being gone. just be careful and you'll be fine. worst case scenario you do snap it .. a new one would cost like a dollar anyway
i would definitely take it off and glue it back into place - if you're really that nervous about it, though, go to the dealership and buy a replacement part first; this way if you break the original, you'll be all set to replace it. i'm sure the piece is cheap as hell
