...i know fora fact that if you have a stick you must remove the shifter, then take out the center console and some other stuff to get to the trim to take off to access the headunit.
I know for a fact that you are wrong. The directions call for you to remove the shifter ball, not the shifter, and the only reason to do that is to remove the boot so you can take out the center section (the center section covers the bottom of the center console pieces).

All you really have to do is unclip the boot and pull it up a little, turn it a bit sideways, and then removes the center section, pulling it up and over the shifter and boot. easy as pie, and nowhere near as much work.
+1... I have a Hurst and I didn't remove the handle nor did I remove the Shifter ball even. Just did what this guy said.

Thanks for playing though.

This may be a stupid question and I am sorry if it is but can you use the speakers from your shaker if you get one of these?

yes...any aftermarket radio should be able to retain use of all stock speakers in the car.

Guys, I have made another discovery about the AVIC-D3

You can buy it a best buys website for only 699.00 (you DO NOT get the mail in rebate at this price)

They also honor this price in any Best Buy nationwide.

Pioneer mail in rebate will be honored at any authorized pioneer dealer. You will see it from 899-999.00 at independant stores, but you still get the rebate. IMHO, just buy it from Best Buy and be done with it!

are any of these equipped with hookups for a playstation?
Yes, the AVIC has aux audio/video inputs for any device, Playstation included. It's a standard composite input. (yellow, white, red) RCA connection
