Rear Black Out Panel

I was talking about the light covers not the center piece, I don't think too many cars had GTS light covers in the 60's.

I kinda like that look on the lighter colors, but I haven't seen it on Sonic Blue yet, so I'm not sure I want to do.

Thanks for the pic discofan..... I see you painted it... If I do it I'll probably leave it mat
I like the blackout panel on some colors ( especially yellow ). But I do not care for the dark lens covers or headlight covers. Plus they are illegal here, and I have no desire to draw more attention to me.
I want something different.
I am building a unit of black "louvers" which will span the space in between the Tail Lights with the depth to match the protrusion of the Tail Light Assemblies. THEN I will match the "line" of the louvers with 1/32nd black pin stripe on the Tail Light Bezels to continue the “look” to the edge of the lights.
This should give an appearance similar to the rear of Lamborghini or Ferrari GT Class Café’ Racer.
Of course, I’ll post pics when the project is complete!
Hmmm.. I wonder if there would be a market for a rear louver assembly!
