All GT owners:

I have noticed a small oil leak on my intake manifold. Drivers side, towards the rear of the manifold there is a stud the fuel rail mounts to. Right at that area, it is wet with motor oil. I have wiped it off a couple of times but seems to come back and slightly "puddle" around the nut on top of the stud.

Anybody else noticed this and / or have info about this? Where the heck can motor oil come from to get way up there?

I'm approaching 400 miles on the car and LOVE IT ! Curious if this is something somebody else has found / seen and the potential fix for it.

Thats a horrible feeling when you see that light brown fluid on the outside of the engine........I know because I just got my car back from the dealer two days ago for a similar problem. When I was showing the tech where the two "missing bolts" go I noticed oil on the rear of the oil pan coming from a bolt on the side of the block (something to do with the crank shaft but I can't remember what they called it). Any way they ordered a new bolt and put some type of gasket on the threads this time and told me that would fix the problem. I wasn't too happy with that fix but what can you do?

So my advice is to take her in to the dealer since its under warranty and hopefully they'll find a better solution for yours than they did mine.

 

It just weird to have oil in that location. I'll have to run it by and let them take a look. It appears as though it is "migrating" up the threaded stud and getting kind of "sprayed" in that area.
