2nd gear grinding.. never got help
So basically "still" whenever I want to get on it and shift quickly into 2nd gear, it grinds going into the gear... never fails.. I figured maybe I wasnt pushing the clutch in far enough, or letting go of it to quickly... False.... I can hold my foot all the way on the clutch.. put it in 2nd and it will grind before I ever take my foot off the clutch at all.. Can anyone help me? Normal driving is fine.... but who does that all the time?

RE: 2nd gear grinding.. never got help
i was appalled the first time i drove my stang at how crappy the stock gearbox was. barring any true mechanical problems with yours, i would suggest buying an aftermarket one. there are many to choose from that folks here recommend. i have the pro 5.0, which i like a lot, but most who have the experience swear by the hurstor themgw.

Sounds like a synchronizer to me. That is an internal part of your transmission that matches or synchronizes the speed of two gears that are going to be meshed together. All 5 speedsin yourtrans have sychros. The ones that go bad are usually 2nd and or 3rd. They see most use and the hardest shifting. Just my .02

A grinding noise is your syncros and if you have a stock shifter you could be not pushing on the rods that push the syro tabs correctly. An option is to get a short throw shifter that finds the gears easier. If you are still in warrenty bring it in and check. Good luck
