Default 2006 GT trunk

hey.
the only way it seems I'm able to open the trunk on my car is to manually open it with the key.

is there any way to upgrade the remote so that i can use that instead?
my current remote has has four buttons; lock, unlock, option, and panic,

the panic doesnt work (i dont know why) and I'm not sure what the option button is for.

any other 2006 GT ownerss that can give me advice?
thanks.

(i posted this in the new members area, but then realized it would probably be better off here.)

Optional remote start. Try replacing the batt.

Go see your dealer. My remote opens my trunk; it has a picture of the trunk on it.

if i have the wrong type of keys, would it be best to go to the dealer, or just order the correct type online?

Its the wrong remote key fob not the keys themselves.

so I just got back from the dealer. All i got from them were "i don't know" or the occasional "Your car must not have remote entry," [:'(] which, I'm pretty sure is wrong....
I guess I'll go back monday when the guy i bought my car from is there...

I really wouldn't mind not having a trunk or panic button, but I carpool and everytime someone needs to put something in the trunk I'm forced to get out of my car and open it with the key. [:@]

I might try to find a key FOB online, but would i be able to program it?
