so I just got back from the dealer. All i got from them were "i don't know" or the occasional "Your car must not have remote entry," [:'(] which, I'm pretty sure is wrong....
I guess I'll go back monday when the guy i bought my car from is there...

I really wouldn't mind not having a trunk or panic button, but I carpool and everytime someone needs to put something in the trunk I'm forced to get out of my car and open it with the key. [:@]

I might try to find a key FOB online, but would i be able to program it?
What a bunch of C*** suckers...
If your remote looks different than this, then you don't have the original.

Big ol YES to that question.
They are available for cheap on eBay. Dont pay more than 8 bucks for one.
It should look like this:

You can program it yourself. Read the owners manual for instructions how.
Or the fob I got from eBay had the instructions with it.

What he said ^^^^^.
You can take it a step further and buy two, then velcro one inside your glovebox or wherever for a quick and easy trunk release mod.

that can't be right, i bought the BASE model v6, and even it came with remote entry! so i would imagine all v6 deluxe/premium and gt deluxe/premium models come with remote entry..... ........something doesn't sound right?!?!?!

hey.
the only way it seems I'm able to open the trunk on my car is to manually open it with the key.

is there any way to upgrade the remote so that i can use that instead?
my current remote has has four buttons; lock, unlock, option, and panic,

the panic doesnt work (i dont know why) and I'm not sure what the option button is for.

any other 2006 GT ownerss that can give me advice?
thanks.

(i posted this in the new members area, but then realized it would probably be better off here.)
Yeah, I have NEVER heard of the remote trunk being an option item. Sounds like the wrong key fob.
