Default Battery Reloaction, Help!

I want to move the battery to the trunk of my 07, I just have a few questions. What do i do with the wires that are connected to the ground on the battery in the engine bay. Where is the best place to mount the battery in the trunk, i have the shaker 1000, if that helps, thanks in advance.

I am considering doing this as well. I do know that the battery should go in the right (passenger) side for best weight transfer. As for the grounds on the battery, I'm not sure how that is handled. You might be able to create a new gounding point in the engine compartment and rout all of them there.

I did this while installing my car PC. http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...7-mustang.html

The gains are minimal at best (room for an intercooler or fuse box relocatealso), but i wanted to do it while I had the interior apart.

I just grounded the battery in the trunk and used the existing ground in the engine bay.

You are going to need a battery cut off if you go to the track.

So just take the battery grounds in the engine bay and ground them on a clean metal surface?

well there are a few ways to do it and maybe
no one way is better....

here's how I would do it....

if i had any wires run to the NEG battery terminal, i would
reconnect them to a nearby GOOD,ground.

when you move the battery to the trunk, you make a new
NEG battery connection with the short black wire they
give you, this completes the ground circuit

Why would you even do this. If you are concerned about weight why get the heavy-weight shaker 1000. Seems like an insignificant weight transfer for all the trouble and expense you have to go to.

Just curious.
