+1 for alot of sunlight. It does look amazing but i think the sun would get really anoying. I've got a really dark tint and love it.

I'm honestly enjoying the lack of sun coming through the roof. I just sold a 99 Trans Am and the T Tops allowed to much light some times and gave me a headache. I'm really sensitive to sunlight. Even with 5% tint on the top it was still much if the sun was just right.

i have considered this as an option for future mods, but i'm still on the tipping point as well. maybe when the new 09s come out, i'll test drive it and see what it feels like and imagine doing it everyday. but for now, since i don't know what it's like, i'll wait. better anyway, i can save up money for other opportunities that arise.

the 24 hour part is kind of a drag. i'd miss my stang too much !!!!

I don't know if the CDC install includes one, but the Factory glassback roof is supposed to be coming with a type of shade that you can pull/ retract if you need less or more light.

i thought that ford was having difficulty getting the glassback approved as an option for the '09's - something about crash test standards...?

The Factory one is essensially the Saleen scenic roof version (The one they had leakage issues with) which had MUCH less of a tint in it. The CDC glassback unit has a very deep tint. It looks like Black painted Tin from the outside to the casual observer. Most people who see my car don't even know it's glass until they look closer.
The sun isn't as intrusive as you would think inside, only at some angles when it glints off the nav unit screen.

Where did you read that? Saleen fitted them to some new cars and Webasto have had the product for a few years.

I want this glassback roof so bad, it's killing me but the cost is too rich for me (College student )

I think it would be awesome to be under that roof when it's raining!

I had an 87 Grand National with T tops many years ago. I loved having the glass over my head, but in the winter, I could feel the cold air just raining down on me. I would imagine with that much glass(glassback) its gonna be quite cold in the winter. But still, I think having the glassback would be cool as all He**.
