Default Front Bumper Question

Anyone getting the bumper dinged up from rocks, insects and stuff yet?

I have 1.8k on the GT now. Quite a bit of road miles, faster, energetic, back roads in the hills, freeway. No problems yet. Just collecting insects. [:'(]

Pretty quick when I get back I wipe down the front with Mcguire's Quick Detailer with a terry cloth towel. Keeps the front all pretty, worries me that having the little bodies eat away at the paint?

I also ride a motorcycle, Sport-Touring. I use the Quick Detailer on it instead of wash and wax. Had the bike since late '03 ('04 Yamaha) and I rarely wash it, but, with the Quick Detailer, always looks freshly washed and waxed. I intend to attempt the same magic on the GT when the rains stop (California, from May/June till like October, no rains) and use the Detailer often.

Default RE: Front Bumper Question

I have already suffered paint chips on the hood and front bumper. I tried to get Ford to repaint those but they said it was damaged by rocks and that isn't covered. My best advice is if you see and truck get the hell away from it and don't drive it across country.
My paint is also black and that doesn't help matters any.

The only complaint I have about '05s is the paint. I try to stay away from Trucks or drive to close to other vehicles but it seems that the finish is very thin and already got a few chips on the hood. Last week bought the bra from Ford and hopefully will keep the chips down to a minimum.
