Default Went to "The Ring" Today

Well you all can be envious I took the stang to "The Ring" today. The Nurburgring in Germany is 13 miles on the north loop the other south loop is closed for public track days. Well I took the stang for a lap which cost 21 Euro ($30 USD), it was well worth it. After about half way through the lap the brakes didnt really like it and started to heat up pretty bad and started to fade. Well the rest of the lap she got babied, didnt want my 30,000 dollar car to make its mark in history on one of the most famous tracks on earth. Well after I made my lap I had a guy come up to me and ask about my car and he was American I thought yeah just another Soldier making his trip in his '00 civic or something. Well after talking to him he offered me a ride in his Audi A4, well I was like ok I'll take a quick lap with ya. Well he has had about 60 laps under his belt in different cars. He said he has ridden in many porches and other cars and we were sliding through some nice corners and setting up perfectly for the next ones. Well after the lap we get to talking and I ask him where he is from and what he does. He is from Texas and hes an engineer for a car company in Europe. I kindly asked what company. Well he handed me his business card and you all might have heard about it, its called RUF. The specialize in upgrading porsche's to a point in which the VIN number is changed because its now a totally different car. He said to call him and he will give me a tour of the shop in Munich and he said he will hook me up with a test drive of a 500+ hp RUF. I was totally shocked and he was cool as hell and I will be making the trip soon. Well I saw quite a few nice rides today including an Audi R8, Ferarri 360 Modena, 5 Porsche GT3's, European Spec Corvette ZO6, and some other nice track cars. Well here is some pics I put in a Album. Definately worth the trip.

Sounds like you had an awesome time. It makes me want to visit my family over there. It's such a beautiful background too. Thanks for the pics.

Nope, brakes didnt like it too much did it in about 13 or so, they had salt on the track to keep ice from freezing up so it was a little messy as well, I will post video's tomorrow on youtube when I get a chance....
