I like the 8 inch metal shorter antenna, and it works great!

if i had the money i would get rid of it but i dont right now thats why im getting the shorter one

I have the 14 from American Muscle (metal) it is just straight metal.. not very flexible like the sailboat mast the car came with....... so I am sure to take it off when I go to a carwash or I am positive it will bend....Not that that happens very often! I have seen the rubber ones and just think they look really stupid. But that is my opinion.
