If it was the right one, I would trade in for a terminator, but it would have to be really right. The one thing I don't like about the SN-95/New Edge chassis are the ergos. I drove a Mach 1 and it felt really weird. My legs felt cramped and the seats seemed narrow however the shifter felt a mile away. And although this was mainly due to the tint strip, but I had to peer down at the stop light to see the light. But after more adjusting I could probably get used to it.

You can't beat the sound of the 03-04 cobras either IMO!! Especially w/ full Bassani exhaust WOOO WEEEEE that is pure heaven!!!! Don't forget the whine of that Supercharger too!

Honestly the main reason why I didn't get a Cobra was due to the fact there were none within the 300 sq mile area. But I'm not dissapointed with my choice of the S197. It has a lot going for, just not power like the terminator.

I had to make the same choice before I bought mine last Mustang. I could have bought aclean low milesCobraCoupe or a 05 GT Vert with 7000 miles. They were both the same price. I ended up going with the 05 because I liked the styling more. The performance stock isn't the greatest, but with some mods it will be fine. I had a hard time making the choice myself, my last car was a modded twin-turbo Audi S4. My current GT can't perform like the Audi (yet), but it sure wins on style.

If you're going to be driving it a couple days of the week, 08 GT. It's a less valuable car and isn't going to be worth much in the future, gets better MPG, and has considerable amount to power and nice with mods. If you want a weekend rider/strip car go for 03/04 cobra, they have a ton more power, take to mods easier, easier on the eyes(IMO), already forged for big power. They will also be alot more valuable in the future than a dime a dozen GT will be.

ill be honest with ya'll. the only reason i dont have a 03-04 cobra was because the only ones within a reasonable driving time were verts. i was so close to saying f it and get the 04 yellow vert at the dealership where i bought my 07. i test drove it, loved it. but the salesman told me to test drive 07 and well... i liked it just as much. its a different kind of car. and since its my dd i decided to get the 07.

i like the 03-04's but the main reason i didn't get one was the styling. i like the retro look of our cars. plus the interior is a huge step forward. and you're going to be buying a used car. i'd rather have a new car. especially when it comes to something like a cobra you know it probably wasn't driven like a baby. get a brand new car and throw a blower on it. you'll be much happier you did.
