how is everyone painting their stallions on their grill?
just taking it off and spraying it with some du-plicolor or actually taking it to a shop and having them paint it?
i'm interested in making my pony black but want to know what steps i'd have to take in order to get it done.
i know it's a very boring thread to start, but i don't remember seeing any how-to's on this. (maybe it's that easy. sorry)
thanks.

We don't. We buy a new one already painted.

I just masked mine off, sanded it down and hit it with a few coats of flat black.

Looks good, I did mine in flat black to give it a little more contrast.

I pulled the grille, removed the emblem, sanded it with 320 grit, two coats of primer, and 3 coats of gloss black. Voila !
