I had my Hawk pads on for about 1000 miles and they've been perfectly quiet and in the last 100 miles or so they started to squeak when I brake. Just checking to see if it's normal for them to start to squeak over time.

I haven't heard anything about them doing that before so I thought I'd ask

Had Hawk HPS pads in my Marauder's front Wilwood 6-piston calipers and they were so loud it was embarrassing. The rears were noisy too, but not as bad. I finally gave up on the HPS and went with the Hawk ceramic pads and they've been nice and quiet since.

 

Mine have never made any noise for about 3500 miles

 

Strange, does this mean I win a prize or something?

 

I think it means that both you and I got a bad set or something. Maybe it's a quality control issue at Hawk?
