+1 on all of the above. Maaco will do it for $500, but you get what you pay for.
Provided all the body panels are straight and require no prep, expect somewhere in the $4k range. That's to do it right (taking off panels, etc - so that when you open a door you don't see the red paint still - you will see it with Maaco)..

Macao can do the whole car for 500 dollars. If you paint it black I guarantee you it will look great for a week and than you will be thinking of painting your hood again. I know mine has been painted about 3 times now.

DO NOT change the color of the car!!! It kills any value you have in it. I can almost guarantee that you would be better off trading it on one that's the color you want.

It will definitely devalue the car! I purchased a black Mustang because it looks GREAT!! 14 months later, I really wish I had another color just to make upkeep easier!!

torch red rules! 
this should be good for a laugh though - i was talking to my local paint shop (they do great work) and he quoted me 4 grand to just paint stripes.
i asked how much he would charge for the whole car, no stripes.
7 thousand dollars. i laughed for a good ten minutes. [&:]
