AVIC D3 w/Bluetooth using iPhone
Pretty sure this is a problem with the iPhone but everytime I turn my car off the AVIC Bluetooth box will unpair with my iPhone and I have to un-pair then re-pair the phone.
Anyone else run into this problem or know of a fix?

Pioneer bluetooth links are CRAP! My 9800BT CD player was the same way. Everytime I turned the car off it would kill the connection, but when I turned the car back on it would not auto pair. I always had to rediscover and relink. FORGET THAT CRAP! All of the competition auto detects and auto connects. Forget Pioneer when it comes to bluetooth.
iPhones ftw!
Have any of you guys hacked/jailbroken your iPhones?
I wonder if theres a program that maybe sends out a signal to your radio so you can listen to your that way, instead of the hassle of connecting through the pioneer system...

My AVIC-Z1 is a one-time-pair-and-forget, it always remembers my phone and the wifes also.

That's a pretty sweeping statement regarding Pioneer & Bluetooth.

I'm tired of everyone who buys a 9800BT or the interface to link with the AVIC-D3 all complain about the linking problem mentioned above AND the echo complaint. Owners of Pioneer BT units also complain that the people who are on the other end gripe about sounding like they are talking into an echo chamber. Even though the person inside the car can't hear it the person on the other end can. This makes that person not want to talk to you on your BT unit! It has happened to me and all my customers who have bought them. The Z1 is the only Pioneer radio I have not heard of complaints so it is EXCLUDED from the rule, but you should also know that the Z1 uses a different BT module than the D3 (and the 9800BT has built in BT). So, why hasn't Pioneer fixed the two problems with their other BT units when they obviously got it right on the Z1? That is one reason why I am done with the car audio world as a business. Not to mention the internet killing the ability to turn a liveable profit. Heck, all the private car audio business owners I know have had to resort to other additions to their business to make ends meet. Most are now doing window tint, custom wheels and accesories, etc. just to make the money required to survive and keep their doors open. The internet is a wonderful thing to me as I love it and wouldn't like living without it, but it does have a down side. That's why I got into a business that is NOT effected by the internet.
