PAINTED MY VALVE COVERS!!!!
Good Job. The valve covers on these cars are just begging to be oainted I was going to powdercoat mine but the cost is prohibitive in LI, + I couldn't make up my ind I wanted. I was thinking o going with the silver color but my daughter suggested gold. To be honest, she was right. I wrote up instructions on how to do it when I was doing mine. here's a link to the instructions for those interested:

looking good! i wont be able to goto the orlando meet BUT maybe we could get together some time after so we could do mine or swap out. Im thinking Royal blue.
couple questions...
-when you take off the valve cover, is there any oil or anything that spills out, or is it just simply, "a cover"..
- what all did you have to disconect to be able to remove it?
- what kind of paint did you use? (spay can high temp engine paint?) any clear coat? sanding?
- and how hard do you think it would be to polsih these.. mines and 07, and not nearly in as bad of shape as those.. i tied polishing by hand but just takes wayyy to long and way to much elbow grease.. so im thinkin about takin them off and using a mohter power ball on it.. or sanding it down and then polishing..
i duno.. would be a longgg project but would be a hell of a lot cheaper than buyin chrome ones..
thanks for the help/tips.. looks great

I didn't have any oil spills.

The battery and tray, the coil overs, the tubing of course, and I had to remove my CAI and what not cause my Shaker system takes of some of the space on the driver side.

High temp engine paint, primer, paint, clear, I sanded a little bit...

Polishing would be a BEAR!!!
I bought theFord Racing decalson Ebay. I After I applied the decals, I sprayed 4 coats of High temp clear coat. It's been a little over a year and they look as good as the day I installed them.
