Great job on painting them.
Having spray painted mine two times (the frist time it came out great but was chiped about a year later)I had issues with the paint sticking. I removed the covers a thrid time and had them powder coated. Cost was around $85.00 for the set. Have not had an issue since other then having to use a air hose to blow out the dust and road grit from time to time.

are you guys trimming your shakers?
if so why?" to show off the valve covers?

Te shaker completely covers the valve covers. I trimmed them to show of the covers. I lke the way it covers the fuel rails.
$85 for powdercoating is a great deal. Here on LI it more then twice that much.
Yes, I bought the redlines back in early 05 when it was the only game in town. If I had to do it over now, I would get the CDC also.
