I thought about the traction control when I had the skip from a standing stop, but figured since I was doing probably 40-50 mph later on when I punched it, I didn't think that would apply. I'll try and see what happens, makes sense though when taking off from a standing stop. Although, I don't think I was accelerating hard enough to spin the tires at that point.Maybe chirping the tires would cause it to kick in? Good thought, appreciate it...

Hate that button, wish it would default to off. Is that an option?

 

yes, the rpms are up, then engine skips, then hit passing gear again..

 

Wonder if it is the stall converter? Dont know much about AUTO's though....just a guess....J

It's this tsb 6-9-9. Air bubbles accumulating in the fuel pump.

 

I have an 06 GT Auto and have had the same thing happen to me. It usually happens on the freeway when I punch it. The best way to describe it is it the rpms go way down like it wants to stall then they hit and it takes off. I work at a Ford dealership so I will check on that TSB.

 

fuel pump is suspect.

 

mine does the same thing,when i go to pass or something,the car just gets a hik-up,then picks right back up.

i have a 07 5 speed gt

 

Mine sometimes does this. Mostly its my car leaving from a stop it will actually like start revving higher and higher then that's when I hit the accelerator and hold on.
