Default 06 Price

Has anyone heard about the price for a 06 Mustang GT? I am going to wait for the 06 model and I am hoping they don't raise the price too much due to the popularity.

Ford has already raised the price by about $250 for the '05 Mustang since it's been introduced. I'd say it's a safe bet that '06s will see another price increase from the factory due to the raging success of the Mustang.

A Ford insider told me that the price is going up to $35,900 for 06 and you have to finance with for at 21.9% APR. [sm=joke.gif]

There is no way I can see this as being true. Just think about it. WHy would Ford risk loosing customer base by dictating financing T&Cs so high.

I agree there will be some sort of increase, but I don't think they will gouge everyone and certainly no force you to finance at those rate.

They should keep it at the $25k level which was the original goal when building the car, but may jack you on the options -- just my guess. The Deluxe fully loaded is about $100 less than the Premium fully loaded, but it's the exact same car. They may make it so you HAVE to get the Deluxe to get the IUP and leather for example, and it forces you to get the Shaker 500 which I don't want.

Ford finally updated the web site -- you can now price out the 05 convertibles online.
