Default Xcal 2 vs. 3?

Is there much difference between the two? I notice some sites still have the xcal 2 but some are advertising the Xcal3, but without much difference in price.

Also when I get new rims and tires, I will have a 6% bigger circumference, which will of course throw off my speedo. Before I would just switch speedo gears and be good, but that won't work this time I assume. I'm sure I can figure that into the tuner, but I plan on using my stock wheels in the winter. Will I have to switch back to my stock tune for the winter too?

I just ordered a xcal 2 from Brenspeed, asked them the same question and they told me the 3 is new and has some bugs still to be worked out!

Supposedly more datalogging capabilities in the 3. A lot of people having software problems with the 3. Even though the 3s been out a while, a lot of tuners are still pushing the x2 and tunes. I'm sure the 3 will be fine and have better updates coming up. The places I've seen; both tuners have always been the same price new. I wouldn't worry too much about the speedo. You can switch with the tuner. I'm running staggered 20's, might be a touch off, so what. You can make changes with the tuner for tire changes and gears too if you later add them. as far as switching tunes, you just work through your xcal and modify for the tire change, you don't put in a whole brand new tune.
