Default Help me Mod my exhaust!

Ok,

About 9 months ago I moved into an association here in South Carolina. As it turns out it's filled with people 60+, retired or older. So of course they have been calling the police on my extremely loud exhaust. SOsince I'm not happy with how the bassani has so much drone at 1500-2000 range I am going to be changing my exhaust. I am open to full suggestions and the more I see for one product I will go out and purchase. I want to get this done ASAP since The officer said its up to each cop to decide if the exhaust is loud or not. The ticket for exhaust in SC is over one thousand bucks So hopefully with your guys help I can make the exhaust still be mean but not have the drone. If the thread gets no suggestions I'm just going to buy boom tubes. Thanks!!

Here is how it sounds now: Kooks Headers - Kooks O/R xpipe - Bassani Mufflers

My personal advice is to get a catted X.

Maybe some weld in resonators for the drone and to quiet things down a lil. Prochamber mid-pipes also seem to quite things down just a wee bit and still sound nice. Maybe the singleweld piece will work for you since you already have L/Ts

I'm pretty sure but not 100% that it's the drone not the xpipe. I hear the xpipe when I'mgiving the car a lot of gas which I don't do through the area. I only drive 25-30 throughmy neighborhoodsoI only hear the drone since I'm always in that rpm range.

I would go with the catted x-pipe that should quiet it down some and if you need more you can get resonators. I read on here somewhere that the drone is caused by the motor making the exact same noise on both sides of the motor at the same time and them hitting the mufflers at the same time. So to get rid of the drone, atleast that is what it said, was to stager the resonators in the pipes this will knock the sound waves off. Also the resonators will help bring the noise down to without hurting flow.

I heard this drone way before I added the headers and xpipe. It took a while to get used to it but just as I did I get the complaints so I did have cats on and it had JUST as much drone as now. So cats won't solve this issue. I will have to look into resenators but I never did like the drone but after you pay 500 bucks for the mufflers you learn to live with it.

How about putting the stock mufflers back on, or maybe some GTA's, not real loud but they'll still have a good sound.

pypes mid mufflers or borlas. They drone but it really isnt that bad. The pypes drone less than the borlas though and they are very deep and sound incredible with kooks and off road x

Don't put GTA's on with your current setup. It will sound like hand grenades in a steel barrel. I would stay away from Pypes since they have fitment issues. I say get a catted x-pipe and some Stingers.

You will have an aggressive, yet refined sound.

The Stingers with an O/R X Pipe will be almost as loud as his current setup.
