Default trying to find specific headlights

I've been looking for these specific headlights(the ones without the front plastic) in the pic below. If its just a mod or something.......I don't have the slightest clue.[:'(]

I believe they are CDC (I may be wrong) and they aren't in production yet. I did hear somewhere that they may be sometime in the future. No clue when though.

i just recently spent all day looking for headlights...

you can't buy those, but what you have to do is buy a cheap knock off pair from eBay- put them in the oven with a wet towel over them and that heats up the glue. then start slowly prying the plastic sheild off. then you would replace the inner lens with a sealed unit. it can be done, i painted my RSX headlights like that and then put the clear plastic back on em. it's just a pain in the a$$. toke me about 1.5 days to take mine off/ heating/prying/tape them/painting/drytime/heating/mashing back together/putting back on car.

Last year or so, I talked to CDC directly about these open headlight buckets. I told them there was definitely some interest in the s197 community about this. They told me they get a LOT of inquiries about this option, but haven't put it into production yet. CDC said they would let me know when they do. If they tell me, I'll pass on the information. In the meantime, if you search this forum using the terms "open headlight buckets" or "painted headlight buckets" or "headlight buckets" you should find some methods for painting and/or opening the headlights yourself. Hope this helps.
