Stripes
Finally got the time to get the striping done. I don't think it turned out too bad.
Oh, and it WAS my camera that makes the car look orange
All my previous pictures were taken with my Fuji 3800. So today I broke out the woman's Sony Cyber Shot and guess what, it actually looks red. Heck of a deal. No idea why.
Anyway, just passing along a few pictures of the stripe job.

nice stripes, i am wanting to get black stripes on my mineral grey. where did you get them done and what did they run you if you dont mind me asking?
Yea, I kinda thought it was pretty unique too, until a buddy of mine asked me why I had a Ford that was painted Chevy Hugger Orange [:@]
Bought the stripe package from Auto Trim Designs. Actually got the kit off of ebay instead of through their web site. If I remember right paid $150 for the kit. Then hooked up with a friend of a friend that owns a commercial tent business and also does vinal kits. He charged me $100 to do the install, which was WAY low. I spoke with the manufacturer a couple of times prior to the installation, and they said very specifically SEVERAL times just exactly how much of a pain in the **** the installation really was, and plan on it taking about 6 hours. Well, when I spoke with the guy that did the install, I relayed that info very clearly, he just chuckled and said it should be no big deal and only take about 2 hours. Well, 7 hours into the install, he still wasn't finished, and swore that he would NEVER do another one of these specific kits again for the price he quoted. And that if anyone asked where I got it done, and there was any chance that they would want him to do theirs, to tell them $300. Hey, not like I didn't warn him ahead of time.....not my fault he supposed to know what he is doing and underquoted the heck out of it
If you are interested their ebay id is auto-trim-designs. Take out the dashes and that is their web URL also. Another thing I picked up from them was lettering for the door sills. I actually think those made a big difference. Just red lettering in the brushed aluminum sill.

I hate to rain on you're parade... so if you don't want some critisism, don't read my post.
I think you need to fix around the licence plate, it looks like #@$
If you check out the stripes on this one http://automobilemag.com/auto_shows/...helby_mustang/
I think you will see what I mean, that area needs to be black! the stripes shouldnt cut around, it really looks weird to me
Sorry

Rain on my parade? Hell, it ain't raining here. Been sunny all weekend And I wasn't having a parade.
You certainly don't need to apologize for voicing your opinion. Opinions certainly do not bother me. I can listen to them as well as I can express them. If I were afraid of one, I wouldn't post. The entire point here is for people to share ideas and opinions. Everyone has different likes and dislikes. As an example, I do not care much for Legend Lime green Mustangs. Now I doubt that I would come out and tell someone that had one, for example you, unsolicited that I thought it looked like $hit. But that is my opinion.
I think it should be used as a learning experience. Look at what we have learned out of it:
1) You felt it necessary to offer criticism, yet can't spell it.
2) You think that a GT should have the same stripes as the Shelby.
3) We have differing tastes on stripes.
Now see, we all learned something

Point made, I should start to proof read my posts, maybe some year…
As far as the lime green, I get a lot of that. You either love it or hate it.
Stripes, never said they should be the same as the Shelby, just used it as an example as to what I was talking about.
We do have the same taste in wheels, I love those, with the spinners of course.

BTW, I did see a LLG GT with the same black wheels that I have and black factory stripes ( just the hood, roof, and top of the trunk lid ). OK, so it wasn't quite so bad. The stripes ( in my opinion ) brought it to life.
