After the price drops i'll get one.
It will be great for autocross or road racing. I've often slid the stock shifter from 1 to 3 coming out of a corner.

It isnt bad for an automatic tranny unless you accidentaly go in to reverse. Hence the reverse lockout. It isnt going to hurt anything to shift it from 1-4 though.

I can't think of any reason to use that for street driving. If you were wanting it for autocross or road racing I could see using it because it would allow you to hold a gear where in drive it would upshift automatically.Pretty pricey though I agree..

Whenever I have raced from a roll I always manually shift my auto... if you just leave it in D in a roll race, you will lose races that you should have won because it takes extra time for the car to downshift, often meaning the opponent has already pulled a car or two on you before you even downshifted.

I may be wrong, but seems like in a roll if you leave it in D the car does not even shift down to the proper gear. (like it may only go down to 3rd when there was still room to use 2nd).

In my experience from a stop makes no difference if you manually shift or leave it in D, unless you mess up when you are shifting. So from a stop & at the track I just leave it in D.

I would love to have one of these. The stock shifter is very soft when manually shifting it while driving through windy roads. I am curious though to know how you engage and disengage the O/D.

It is a bit pricey that is for certain. And i also do not care for the TCI being plasteredon top ofit

First of all. that shifter is completely gawdy looking. Secondly, they cant make it work after a year?
How could you say it is a performance upgrade when nobody has evenused one?
I think the brushed aluminum stock shifter look way nicer than that oversized, blingy aircraft throttle that has a giant TCI logo on it.
But you go get in line to plunk down 459.00 for it and let us know how it works.

Looks like someone stored their scissors right behind that HUGE TCI logo!
UGH...[:'(]
