I wouldn't want it fixed either. They are never the same after a crash. Its hard to look on the bright side but you were spared any damage to yourself.

OUCH!!! After driving home my new 'vert this weekend those pictures are really hard to look at. Hopefully you have full replacement value for all your mods. The car certainly looks totalled to me. If I were you I'd push to have it totalled. You wouldn't buy a rebuilt wreck so why build one yourself. Take the insurance check, find a nice low mileage 06/07, and start over again...Build it better.

Happy to hear the most important part came our relatively undamaged - you. Isn't it amazing how fast everthing happens in an accident. I totalled a Mazda 626 back in 1988 - one moment I was driving down the road and the next I was hanging in my seatbelt upside-down in a ditch wondering what the helljust happened.

Glad you are fine and didnt suffer physically. As for the car there will be some emotianal suffering but Im sure it will all work out at the end. Just be patient as insurance companies can be a pain in the a$$ when it comes to borderline situations. Make sure you play tough with them as they will try and steamroll over you if they can.
