Default Convertible top care

Here's a question for all the vert owners, What are you doing to keep your tops clean and conditioned? Is there a top shampoo and conditioner to keep the black looking good? I have the cloth top, just don't want it to start looking faded if I can help it.

thanks, Ed

I've got a cloth top on my GT. The V6 had a vinyl top. I love the looks of the cloth and will check out Wolfsteins' Raggtopp products. Looks like they have a leather protectant for convertibles, too.

When I picked up my convertible at the dealer this weekend they had done a nice job detailing the car but the cloth top had white towel fuzz all over it. Any ideas on how to get rid of it or keep it from happening in the first place? I suppose I could get a black towel...

Vacuum the towel fuzz, always vac beforewashing the car, an application ofRaggtop will allow your topto shed water so effectively that you shouldn`t need to dry it with a towel.Never drop a top that isn`t 100% dry. A (good)microfiber towel won`t shed

I always have a lint roller handy for my top. Even though I don't get lint on it from washing it. They work great! Since it's a black cloth top it will show dust, and other crap that you will pull from the air.

When you have an all black car like mine, any missed detail sticks out. *sigh*.

Words to live by. Is that a navy blue cloth top? Always admired those on the Mercedes.
