lag from a roll
car runs from stop PERFECT but if i roll and jump on it it has a terrible lag i feel likei am pushing 20hp till i get up to 3200 rpm then all hell breaks loose ,that part is OK it is the lag that is the problem ,like i said i do not have it from a complete stop only from a roll ,and there is no lag in he peddle either ,i read the old threads but there was no conclusion as to how to fix this one ,i do have some modest mods ,the ones that come from Shelby hats it ,was this ever corrected or do i have to live with it ,also it is a automatic thanks

RE: lag from a roll
hmmm not sure.....i have an auto too and dont have this problem so i dont think thats the issue....
try these and see what happens after each one....
1) turn your TCS to the OFF position....
2) if that doesnt fix it, then turn the TCS OFF then turn your O/D OFF and try.........
3) if that doesnt work, then do 1 & 2 and try speed-shifting and see waht happens......
let me know how this goes....

RE: lag from a roll
My car was the same way before I installed my cold air intake and tune. It was fine as long as i kept it above around 3k rpms, but below that I couldnt even hang with a Crossfire from a dig. Now it will break the tires loose at about 2k rpm. My car has a manual transmission, but I would assume your automatic would be the same way.

RE: lag from a roll
the shebly doesnt have an agressive tune, very mild actually and most people in autos complain about the symptons you describe. My suggestion is get a tune from Bama or Brenspeed and see if that gets rid of it.

RE: lag from a roll
Sounds like it is just the lag from the auto. It shifts up into a higher gear as soon as it can to save you fuel economy. The down shift isn't instantaneous some times depending on where you are in the power range. It can be quick though. Test this by dropping it out of OD and manually shifting gears. You will see what I mean.

RE: lag from a roll
The issue lies if you had just experienced an upshift, it will kick back down quickly. If it is in between shifts and almost ready to shift again, if may have a slight delay.
