From what I've seen here, big spoilers are considered "rice"?

Let's throw functionality out the window for a second. Do you LIKE the LOOK of the spoiler(Steeda, not the oversized race one in the first picture I showed). I'm happy with my GT500 spoiler, but I also like the race look of the Steeda.

And, if you are really looking for one of these spoilers to really be functional, and really add rear downforce, then you need to be concerned with the total downforce balance of the car. Add a bunch of downforce to the rear, without corresponding downforce changes up front, and you end up with terminal understeer, which will make things WORSE at the track. And for 1/4 mile work, you don't want a wing adding a bunch of drag.

I'm an engineer. If a wing or any other device isn't functional during any part of a vehicle's use, it's pure rice. If it actually does function without screwing something up, then it's cool (especially if its function is not generally understood - suggesting that the designer/fabricator might be a step ahead of the rest).
Feng - I was mildly surprised to see this in the wiki reference. Right side, about halfway down.

Functional is OK in the big wing department.
Non functional hood scoops lookOK as long as they are not too big.
Side scoops look like the retro stangs of years past as long as they
are also not too big. But hey, you gotta drive it, not me so mod away.
