From what I've seen here, big spoilers are considered "rice"?

If I was wanting to go for a larger spoiler, like a lot of the Ford Racing mustang race cars have, this would be frowned upon, correct? I've seen several stangs online with larger spoilers, and liked the racing look.

Both spoilers are a little too big, but that's the general idea.

But there actually functional on race cars, on street cars they do nothing but look funny(which I believe is one of the requirements of being called "rice"[8D])

It seems like you like big spoilers, go for it. I think most here like the low profile type, but they are not making your car payment. I like duck tails myself.

Well, I just installed my GT500 spoiler, which I love. I just got to looking at some of the Mustang Race Cars, and thought it would be cool to have that look on my car.

Great for racing! and the steeda is IMO the only one I would have if I wanted a larger spoiler.... the others should be left for the track IMO.....J I'll keep the ducktail!

but like it has been said earlier, if you don't spend time at the track, it just looks silly.

If it's not functional then yeah, I would consider it rice. However, if it actually does something like the Roush or some others I have seen I would probably reconsider.

If you like it, get it. Plenty of people consider my carbon fiber hood "rice". But i love the way it looks and it was cheaper than buying a fiberglass hood and having work done to it then painting it.

Its halarious that you're trying to justify large spoilers on mustangs, and then your best evidence of it is only on true race cars that are both on a race track in their photos.
I think you proved the point of everyone on the board instead of your own...
Put one on if you want, no one will talk down on it. But remember, thats the spoiler that will be pulling up to your work, driving to the grocery store, etc etc, and looking ridiculous.
I'd laugh at a van on a race track. And that van owner will laugh at a wannabe race car in a grocery store parking lot.
