Default nobody fixed hanging rpms yet?

Brought it up a few times... I miss the IAC restrictor from my 2002, where the rpms would isntantly drop... it cost me like $5 to do it... People keep talkin about how a tune will fix it? I dont believe it.. or have $600 atm.

Really? I thought this was just common on modern (low compression)engines? He's not talking about throttle lag, he's talking about how long it takes the RPM's come back down to idle after revving it.

yeah the drive-by-wire system automatically controls the throttle plate and will cause the rpms to come down lower. its an attempt to make driving more comfortable for regular people who don't like hard engine kick when shifting and things like that.

I do not believe any of my tunes have ever changed this in any way....

The compression on the GT is 9.8:1 thats not low.

Anticipation. Like the old Ketchup commercial.
Release before you want the revs to come down.
Or a Tune.

No, not by today's standards, it is pretty high butmy 66 Plymouth I had had 12.5:1, revs went up when I hit the gas, revs came back down when I let off the gas.

some tuners have been able to minimize the "hang" or the RPMs...not get rid of it but make it seem more like an actual wire driven throttle system.
