Tune performance fading?
About 2 weeks ago I installed a C&L cai and a brenspeed 93 tune. I have a few questions........but first I will tell you my issues. Install was a breeze, and my first trip out with the tune and cai was perfect. I got on it really good after I put a few miles on the car with the new cai & tune, opened her up and I got rubber on the first three gears. Since that moment, the car seems to slowly loose its umph. I know some of you will say that I am getting used to the new found power. I am to a certain degree, but I have noticed that the throttle lag is starting back up again, especially after the car is warmed up. So I know something is happening. My questions are as follows....
1) I have heard that are car makes small adjustments as you drive the car....esp with an auto. Is that true?
2) I have heard that I can reload the tune to get that great feel and response back. Is that true?
3) Is there something that I have done or can do (other than reload) to fix or prevent this in the future?
4) Is it worth a call to brenspeed?
5) Has this happened to anyone else here on this forum?

Thanks for any help upfront! Todd

I would say it is just you getting used to the power (hence all of the people who keep wanting more and more power - S/C, turbo, NO2, etc). You could try reloading it and see what happens. I reloaded mine just for kicks and felt no real difference. Mine does not seem to be getting worse, though.
Instead of disconnecting the battery, you can do this procedure instead...less time consuming.
-Insert the key into ignition and turn it all the way on but DO NOT start the car
-wait for all the CELs to go off that will go off (30 seconds or so)
-slowly depress the gas until it is completely depressed, hold it there for 5 seconds
-while the pedal is depressed, turn the key all the way off, then slowly let the gas out slowly
-wait 30 seconds and start the car and viola!

I did that.. and ended up going back to my brenspeed tune. I think he is just getting used to it.

I will try the gas pedal thing in the morning, if that doesnt work i will do the battery thing and retune the car, if that doesnt work i will call brenspeed!
If i am getting used to the car why do i feel the lag again and why cant i chirp second and third gear anymore? I am on the same street, WOT and i get a lunge, not a hard shift.
