Default glasspacks?

hey guys..

i just put a bassani catted x in, wiht stock mufflers, and cutouts..

thinking about options for new axle backs... but have never liked x pipes bc they are so highpitch/raspy.. but i have to live with it..

so im looking for something that will give me a nice clean, muffled sound when the cutouts are closed.. doesnt really have to be loud, bc i have the cutouts for that, but a good sound would be nice.. if only there was a way to get that 2 valve sound that the sn95's have..

but anyways.. to my question.. whats the deal with glass packs?

i work at advance auto parts, and we sell the thrush glasspacks there for like 60 a pc.. i have heard what they sound like on several applications.. and sounds pretty good..

thinking they could fit in the straight piping that is imbetween the x pipe and the axle..

but are they more so like a straight pipe? or will it still muffle the sound enough that when it starts up and idles, it wont be super loud..

if you can give me any info on these things, or any suggestions for a good sounding (deep) axle back for the X and high flow cats.. that would be awesome..

thank you guys!

the bassani mufflers really compliment the X pipe, I tried it with just the X pipe at first, but I was not satisfied at all, its to raspy that way. With the Bassani mufflers its a very clean, unique sound. Its not loud at idle, I mean dont get me wrong u can hear it, But when u get on it, its very Clean and agressive sounding without any backfires or pops to it at all. I put it on long ago, and am happy with my decision every day i turn on the car.

well the ****ty thing is.. its only available in a catback.. because it converts it to 3"... but it sounds fckin amazing..

easily the best sound i have heard on the new stangs IMO.. possibly saving up and pulling the trigger on these bad boys...

i think they run between 500-600

Here is another video of that same stang, but according to the description, it is the setup you want....hi-flo cats on X with magnapacks. To me it sounds pretty close to the same as the LT vid, but not as throaty on decel.
