rollbar help please
I have a 2005 v6 convertible, which I got in September 2007, and my dad wants me to put a rollbar on it. I've seen the style bars, but they don't actually do anything other than light upand look nice. I'd like a functioning rollbar, but I am having trouble finding one. The guys at the Ford dealership I talked to where I got the car basically said "i don't know.. look on the forums". So guys, please help me out here!
P.S. heres a pic of my car

You don't need a rollbar in the convertible. The 2008 Mustang convertible is the first and only convertible to ever receive a 5-star safety rating from the NHTSA. That includes rollover resistance. About the only way to put one of them on theirroof would be to purposely put it there.

Hell who knows? maybe your insurance will drop too?
and the added benefit of your family knowing you will be safer.
I went with a Cervini Type II stylebar (no Taillight) and it is awesome. I think it is the best looking stlyebar out there. It will do nothing in the event of a roll over though. You would need to find a speed shop in your area who would build and install one. It probably wouldn't be cheap though. Good luck, and if you do decide to go with a stylebar, look at the Cervini. I believe it adds about 100 HP, or at least it looks like it does..[sm=bs.gif]
Unless you're as tall as that "Jaws" fellow in the James Bond movies, the pillars will hold up the car and protect you. If you want one for looks, I wouldn't on a vert because IMO they suck. You could fab up a pair of those cobra style bars for a little style. Mounting may hurt you though.
thank you lrgnation for the compliment on my ride
i love the body kit and white top!
thanks everyone for your input. agentfourtyseven reminds me a lot of Avenged Sevenfold haha I think they did that on purpose...
i think i'm gonna go with the cobra style rollbars. those are the best looking i've seen yet. my dad is paying for this project as an xmas present. we've been putting it off cause i've been busy, but i think its time.
