I was able to pickup JBA Longtube Headers today for a song, Brand New in the Box 380.00
I noticed that there were few votes for the JBA any issues? Should I sell them and look elsewhere? or should I just install them and have fun? if the Latter I need to get a Mid Pipe with cats ( I live in Virginia and they do ODBII testing every 2 years) and yearly safety inspections yearly so I need Cats.

I have read that some states view Headers as "Off RoadOnly" that they are not street leagal? if thats the case then why sell catted mid pipes for LT headers??????

How hard are they to install on the S197? Can I buy the Gaskets at the parts store?
and shouldI replace the stock header bolts? ...

If I were in the market for LT headers, it would be ARH for sure. The quality is second to none, they're a work of art, and IMO worth the $$ Also I met the owner, nice guy. (Used to work for Kooks) and its a home team mentality (NY-NJ) for me as well!

I know ARH headers are real big with the Vette (C5 C6) guys, they love 'em! Any of the better mod shops around here sell them

ORIGINAL: howarmat

My ARH dont drop below the frame rail actually so they will never scrape.
Did you do something custom to get this effect? I know blackout has this set up and his cats scrape, his car is lower then yours though I think, but it is the only thing that scrapes is his cats ?

i dont have cats....mine would probably scrape if i did though....i will agree with that.

Also, to the above, i got new bolts shipped with the headers and yes you need to replace the factory "studs."

I got new gaskets also for mine from www.joeheckracing.com i believe for a great price.

I did not get a Mid Pipe with the headers, these are just headers, The part number on the headers is 6675S JBA
I opened the box today and I noticed that these had a lot of slag and other garbage in them.

I have read about counterfit headers on the net, what about these?

So I used a Fish tape and a rag to see what it was,
