I might, might have to sell my car. It has 6,000 miles on it and it is in IMMACULATE condition (not one dent or scratch). It's a 2007 GT (Automatic) and has the following...

It was factory ordered with every option possible (spoiler delete as well)... price came out to around $31,000... this is what was added to the car in one year...

Interior/Radio/Navigation
Shaker 1000 System (from factory)
Pioneer Navigation
Pioneer 12 disc CD changer
Satin Silver dash kit that covers console, doors, and dash
High quality mustang mats with running pony

Engine/Performance
Steeda CAI with Hi/Flo inlet tube
RealSpeed 93 Octane Custom Dyno Tune
Steeda CMCV Delete Plates
Steeda Underdrive Pulleys
American Racing Headers Long Tubes
American Racing Headers Off-road H-Pipe
MAC Catback Exhaust (with Kooks resonators to eliminate drone)
Ford Racing 3.73 gears with LPW girdle for protection

Suspension
Spohn Adjustable LCAs
Spohn Panhard Rod
BMR Panhard Rod Brace
Spohn chrome-moly rear sway bar
Ford Racing Strut Tower Brace

Brakes
Steeda Stainless Steel brake lines
PowerSlot rotors

Exterior
SilverStar headlights and fog lights
Shorty Antenna (mid-length one)
3D Carbon Louvers
3M 35% tint all-around
3M Crystalline windshield see-thru tint protection (a little darker than usual for coolness effect and protection of the interior)
KMC 18" Hot Wheel edition Chrome Rims wrapped in Nitto 555 street radials

Engine Bay
Steeda Black powder coated valve covers
Midwest Auto Gear custom painted Fuel Rail Covers (Black)
Midwest Auto Gear custom painted radiator cover with prop-rod delete (Black)
Midwest Auto Gear custom painted radiator extensions (Black)
Midwest Auto Gear custom painted fuse box cover (Black)
Midwest Auto Gear custom painted stut tower covers (Black)
Brand new black ABS plastic under hood protection (replaces the cloth stock crap that comes under the hood)

Let's say that I do sell my car...how would I approach the situation? Do I go to the dealer? Do I go on eBay? Do I have to part the car out or can I sell it as is? All advice, tips and tricks are welcome. BTW, the car is financed and still has 5 years left - there's about $26,000 remaining on the loan Thanks.

PS: Nobody jump to conclusions yet...this is still in it's fetal stage but I need to get this out there for informative reasons. Thanks for understanding [&o]

you probably will get close to that 26, maybe a little less......remember mods are not for everyone so that can be a turn off for many people....you dont have major body mods so it looks clean stilll so that helps.....Good luck with whatever you choose

You will never get the $$ you put into it in mods back out of it. [:@]

I sold my modified eclipse gsx on modifiedcartrader.com for more than anyone else was offering me. The guy bought it for what i listed it for. I also had somebody else on standby just in case the deal fell thru! List it for what you want and you'll probably get close to it.

Well just for ****z and giggles I went to see where I was on with my car, again I'm about in the same boat as you are, loaded 07 GT premium. Well wife is preggerz now so I was just curious where I was at "IN CASE" I have to move. So I went and looked at a Jeep 4 door. They offered me 20,800 for my car as it sat, frankly I was insulted, then they start the "well mods don't mean anything" yadda yadda yadda bullsheet, then it was the well it's march and there is no market for those cars, <SIGH> Finally I decided "IF" I had to do anything drastic like rid myself of the only car I've ever wanted, that I'd sell it out right.

Good Luck and try your damnnest to hold on to that car. Just remember there are always options, and 5 years in the grand scheme of things is not a very long time. Think what you were doing 5 years ago, probably seems like yesterday.

Remember dealers are going to negotiate if you are buying something from them in return too....so they'll maybe say they are taking some of the price off the new car you are buying. Just something to consider, but I think you have to look at the full deal to see if you are being screwed.

If it's not an urgent situation, and it doesn't sound like it is, I would try selling to a private party that will enjoy (and pay for) some of your mods. The dealer won't care what mods you've done to the car - I learned that the hard way. From a dealer, my best bet is you'll get maybe 23-24K.

To get the most money for it, put everything back to stock so it looks completely unmolested. Sell it and then sell all the mod parts separately.

Molested?
Thats a harsh term for modding.
