I got my 4.10s installed today, I am in the process of breaking them inso I haven't gotten on it yet, but the car is much more enjoyable to drive. to all those on the fence about the gears, do it. Total was $520.00and it took 3 hours on the dot to make the change. No whine or vibrations. Can't wait for the breakin to be done so Ican really try them out!
Congrats on the 4.10's. Every time I see one of these threads I get more excited. I get mine installed March 24th. I took a week of vacation so I can get them broken in.

I had them installed at a late model Ford shop, specializes in Mustang, he has been in business since 1984, andsaid he's done hundred of gear changes over the past 20 years and told me not to worry about breaking them in. Me being the cautious person I am decided to take everyones advice on this site and take it easy the first 200 hundred miles and vary speeds etc.I just find it odd he said don't worry about it.
what makes it feel so much different?... liek what do you feel thats that much different
1. Driving at highway speeds no need to down shift to make it up hills.
2. In city driving3rd gear seems perfect, before 3rd seemed too high and second seemed to low.
3. By the time I hit 3rd I am not pushing 60+ Mph,
4. Better low-end acceleration and I hit the 3,000 RPM power band quicker
