This is standard depending on just how cold it is.

I don't see why people get in such a frenzy over this. All cars do this only difference is you hearing an actual motor vs the V-6 or I4 in your camry.
indeed, its like people have never owned ANY car before

I knew it happened on other cars, but the fact that my Mustang exhaust is considerably louder than a regular car's exhaust, it seems really loud on start-up. Yes, I want the car to scream, but only when it's actually doing something....not warming up.

Every morning when I open the garage door and fire the beast up, I watch in the rear view mirror and the curtains on the house across the street open just a tad for the guy to look out. I love it.

~"EXACTLY!! I 'm oncall a lot, and have to leave the house at all hours of the night. When it's 2:am and I start the car, it starts SCREAMING thru the Flowmasters, and I see lights going on in houses all up and down the street. I can just see the neighbors getting their lawnmowers ready for a weekend BLAST outside MY window. All I've owned til NOW has been '70s Musclecars with Carbs and manual chokes, so I am kinda lost with all this computer-controlled everything. I am still AMAZED that the RADIO stays on with the ignition OFF till I open the door. There's NO WAY my '70 Mach I can beat THAT! THANK you all!!"

they're barely louder than stock unless you take the cats off.. which is very loud but sounds like poop (unlike previous Mustangs with the o/r H & Flow setup [&:])

I have a US flag and an Army flag hanging on the back wall in my garage, and when I fire up the Stang, they flap in the exhaust like they were caught in a gust. I love seeing that.

If you have an off road pipe, it's not necessary to have the high idle at startup and your tuner can turn that down for you.
