Default cervinis concept hood a fake?

Ok I have seen a hood like this before that wasnt real.... please tell me if this is indeed a ram air hood? http://www.americanmuscle.com/cervin...cept-hood.html
They also sell a ram air kit I can't tell by the pictures what in the world it does.... if anyone has pictures of this hood or just plain text would be helpful thanks in advance[&:][sm=happy046.gif]

The Cervini's Mustang Concept Hood (2005+ Mustang) now has a Funtional Ram Air Kit available! Add-On option is available below!

sounds like to me you gota get the kit to make it funcional... otherwise it it just a blank

exactly, you have to buy another piece to make it functional. I doubt you'd see any noticeable performance gains from it though

There are others out there that do not require a kit. The one i have has the air passage built in to the hood. Looks exactly the same.

The hood has the holes in it, but the air just goes whereever. You use that kit to force the air over the intake.

You have to modify the stock airbox. The metal grating goes over the lower portiong of the intake, while the upper port states attached to the duct on the hood.

I looked into a while back and it looked like it would be a huge pain to get this to work with my cold air intake. I'd check with the company before purchasing if I had an aftermarket intake.

I don't think there is much gain from a ram air system on our cars, despite what the manufacturer says. Not worth the money in my opinion.

cool thanx noony b do u know where u got yours form. ebay? I think I have seen some there before that the air channels are fiberglassed right into the hood?

would it be of any concern that water might be dumping directly onto your filter while it's raining? It may have a gutter somewhere, but it doesn't mention it, and i don't see one.
