Default So what would you do???

Gear change or a stall converter?
My friend has an '06 GT, stock except for a CB, CAI and a tune.
Told me he wants to go with a one piece driveshaft and 4.10 gears.
I sugested he put in aconveter, like a 2800 to 3000 rated one to help him launch.
He is concerned about frying his tranny, but I think an aftermarket tranny cooler would eliminate that concern.
What do you guys think?

I would go with an aluminum shaft and a 4:10 gear.... Don't do the converter till he does something major like cams...
