Kewl. Keep us informed. My Steeda shipped yesterday. So I can understand your anxiousness.

I will. Problem is that I can't/won't install it until the xcal arrives, which is who knows when. Also, I want the SHM underdrive pulleys and rims and tires as well so that I can get them on and head for the dyno. Baseline dyno, add the extras, run it again. Then post here as to the results.

Just curious, why did you decide to go with SHM over any of the dozens of others? Which pulley do they replace, water pump, PS pump, or alternator? ( have seen each of the three depending on the vendor ). What is the mas of their harmonic balance?
I have looked at their kit, and yes, obviously it is considerably cheaper than others. So that aside, why them over any other?

Not looking for a bash this vendor, or that vendor is a friend, or whatever. Actually trying to gather data to assist me with my own decision. I know we have discussed this off line, just wondering what final factor you used to to make your decision.

I went with them for a number of reasons:

Sean Hyland is well known for the OHC engines
harmonic balancer retains 92% of the original mass
$ va. MMR ($210+ shipping vs. $186 including shipping)
Too many bad reports on the steeda.
Dyno results

The SHM does not include the alternator pulley as they believe that it hurts belt reliability. The kit does include the harmonic balancer and the larger water pump pulley.

Hope this helps.
