Really sorry to hear about your bad luck. Nice cars are ALWAYS magnets for accidents because people like to gawk at them. I hope the stang gets back to normal real quick. If that happened to me id be in jail for murder....

 

Yeah really Sucks! Been on the phone with insurance adjusters. Already got an estimate from my mechanic and the body shop.

Now I just need to get the adjuster out! Arggh! I hate this![>:]

Oddly the witness was in a 03 mustang right behind me. She told me that she knewmy car was modified because it sounded so good. She said she almost cried when she saw him hit me.

She jumped out of her car and said she saw everything and the police were on the way!

 

Almost happened to me this morning. 6:30 in the morning - apparently I wasn't going fast enough for the dipwad in the black Nissan Altima. He cuts into the left lane and passes me, only to cut back over to the right before he or she was actually past me. It is TOO EASY to obtain a drivers license in this country.

Make sure you file a "Loss of Value" or "Diminution of Value" claim with his insurance. My wife and I got hit recently in our Mazda6 and our lawyer friend informed us about this process. It's basically a way to compensate you for the reduction in resale/trade-in value of your vehicle. My wife and I got a check in the mail for several hundred dollars recently for our loss in value to our Mazda6 caused by the idiot driver who hit us. According to USAA, the loss in value is generally 25% of the total repair bill.

PS, I didn't realize you were in the Houston area. We got hit on 59N up by the Beltway in our Mazda6... we got hit by a Mustang. [:@]

yes i agree with the statement that stangs are magnets for damage, mine was recently attacked by some people and beat with golf clubs/bats and drivers window busted out, it's gonna be out the shop saturday, and it is a 08 gt, not even 2K miles on it yet or a month old. These cars are most defintly magnets for damage.

I feel ya bro, i was side swiped by some stupid person in my old car, tore upthe whole drivers side of my car, but i didn't end up in a ditch, damage defintly looks similar to what i had, expect mine was like on both doors and towards the rear more, then towards the front, but hope ya get it fixed up better then it was.
